Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD)
Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Service - Aboriginal Corporations provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals experiencing substance abuse, assisting them in their journey towards recovery and improved wellbeing.
Our holistic approach to ATOD involves personalised substance abuse counselling, emphasising cultural sensitivity and trauma-informed care. We recognise that each individual's journey towards recovery is unique and requires compassionate, individualised attention.
Our Program
Our program is dedicated to promoting education and raising awareness about the responsible and safe use of substances like Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs. We extend this education to various settings, including prisons and schools, aiming to reach a wide range of audiences.
TAMS AC considers confidentiality as utmost importance, ensuring the security and privacy of personal health information. Our primary focus is safeguarding the confidentiality of individuals seeking our services.
Our ATOD Programs
In addition to our core educational activities, we facilitate workshops, programs, and services designed to further enhance awareness and understanding of substance use, misuse, and abuse. These initiatives are vital in our commitment to creating a healthier and informed community.
